Customer Service, a Must

Before the Signing :

Reach out to the signer, introduce yourself and confirm the appointment date, time and location.

Let the signing company know that you have confirmed the appointment.

Look for the signing instructions sheet; almost all title companies and lenders have different instructions.

Go over the documents and get acquainted with them.

Dress professional, and check if your hiring company has a specific dress code.

Before, During, and After the Signing

The following steps are critical for a successful signing:

During the Signing:

Introduce yourself and what firm are you representing.

Verify the signer's identity (refer to proper ID).

Check with the signer if funds due at closing is present if required by the title company.

Only answer general questions, for any extra details, the signer should be referred to the lender agent or to the title company.

Apply all your customer service skills, be Polite, professional and efficient.

After the Signing:

Expect to be part of a survey provided by the signing company to the signer, not necessarily included within the closing package. ·

Notify the signing company immediately after completing the signing.

Send ID’s and Scan backs if required by the signing company.

Depending on the title company's policy, either wait for document drop off approval (after Scan backs were reviewed), or drop off immediately if approval is not required.

It is imperative that you drop off at a shipping office and retain a receipt for your records. Do not use drop off boxes.
