What documents can I get notarized online?

With a few exceptions, the majority of documents and forms could be notarized online, for example:

Judgements, Agreements, Affidavits, Assignments, Appointments, Powers of Attorney, Deeds, Mortgages, Release Forms, Real Estate Documents , Lender Documents, Divorce Papers, Liens, Medical Powers of Attorney, and many others.

We are unable to notarize the following:

Documents intended for use outside the United States, marriage certificates, wills, codicils & testamentary trusts, documents that appear tampered, Form I-9, and certified copies of certain official documents.

How do I get ready for an online notarization?

The essential steps:

1. Have your unexpired government issued photo ID ready, e.g. your driver's license or passport.

2. Have your documents ready and in an electronic format, pdf format is preferred.

3. You should have a working microphone and a webcam connected to your computer or hand held device.

4. A good internet connectivity.

How long does it take?

Depending on the preparedness of the signer and the amount of documents to be notarized, the session can be as short as as 10 minutes:

Upload documents --> get online --> verify your identity --> notary signs and seals --> download your notarized documents.

Do I need to be in a specific geographical zone to have my documents notarized online?

No. You can get your documents notarized from the comfort of your home, office, at the airport, in the hotel or even in your car. It doesn't matter where you are in the 50 states.

How much does it cost?

We charge $25 for each online notarization we perform in addition to $5 per notarial act (seal).

For example:

For online notarization of one document and one signature, the charge will be $30, i.e. $25 + $5 = $30. If we notarizes the signatures of two persons named in the same notarial certificate, the charge will be $31, i.e. $25 + $5 +$1; if we notarize the signatures of two persons, and there are separate notarial certificates for each signing party, the charge will be $60, i.e. $25 +$5 for the first notarization and $25 +$5 for the second.

Is an online notarization secure?

Yes. A properly performed online notarization is very secure and even more secure than a traditional in-person notarization due to the wide array of security measures associate with this type of transaction, for example: tamper-evident sealing, digital audit trail, recorded audio-visual session, identity proofing technology, credential analysis and the digital certificate.
